Speak Up Board ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Speak Up Board application and website at speakeupboard.com and app.speakupboard.com.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

Please read this policy carefully. By using Speak Up Board you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Speak Up Board is an educational communication and learning application designed for children. Our platform helps children develop communication skills, vocabulary, and language through interactive picture boards, games, and learning activities.

Information You Provide:

• Parent or guardian account information including email address and name when you create an account.
• Child profile information including the child's first name and age range.
• Profile preferences such as avatar selection, skin tone, and gender settings.
• App settings and preferences you configure for each child profile.

Information Collected Automatically:

• Usage data such as which activities and games your child completes.
• Progress and score information for each learning activity.
• Device type and browser information for compatibility purposes.
• Authentication information when you sign in using Google.

Information We Do NOT Collect:

• We do not collect the full name of any child.
• We do not collect photos or images of children.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect payment information directly — all purchases are processed securely through Squarespace or Google Play.
• We do not collect voice recordings.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage parent accounts and child profiles.
• Save and sync your child's learning progress across devices.
• Personalize the app experience based on your settings.
• Send account-related communications such as login verifications.
• Improve our app and develop new features based on usage patterns.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do NOT use your information to:

• Serve advertisements to you or your child.
• Sell your data to third parties.
• Track your child's activity across other websites or apps.
• Build advertising profiles.

Speak Up Board takes children's privacy extremely seriously. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, also known as COPPA, and similar laws worldwide.

• We require a parent or guardian to create the account — children do not create accounts directly.
• We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services.
• We do not share children's personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.
• Parents may review, update, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us at atlazcontentcreations@gmail.com.
• We do not condition a child's participation on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary.

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase — the same infrastructure used by millions of professional applications worldwide. Specifically:

• All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/SSL.
• Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication — we never see or store passwords.
• Child profile data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your unique account ID.
• Each family's data is completely isolated — no family can access another family's data.
• App images and sounds are stored in Google Firebase Storage.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Google Firebase — for authentication, database, and storage services.
• Google Cloud Run — for hosting and serving the application.
• Squarespace — for processing payments and managing our website store.
• Google Play — for processing in-app purchases on Android devices.
• Legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

All third-party services we use are industry-standard platforms with their own privacy and security certifications.

As a parent or guardian you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we have collected about you and your child.
• Correct any inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing.
• Receive a copy of your data.

We retain your account and child profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account all associated data including child profiles and progress will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Our app uses minimal tracking technology only for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. The following are used:

• Firebase Authentication session cookies to keep you logged in.
• Browser local storage for app performance optimization.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising tracking technology.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice in the app. The updated policy will be effective on the date listed at the top of this document.
